How to find art consultants for your art

Finding art consultants may sound like a monumental, mysterious task that only a select few know how to do. It’s easy to think that because they work with big clients like high-end hotels, they’re an elusive elite. 

As someone who's worked with them since 2016, I can tell you they’re not hidden behind some speakeasy door where you need a password or secret handshake to get in. 

In reality, they’re quite easy to find. In this post, I’m going to share 3 ways I looked for art consultants when I was building my dream list of consultants I’d like to work with.

3 easy ways to find art consultants for your art

Google

No joke, this is a great place to start. 

I used keywords like “art consultants for hospitality,” but you can add any industry you’d like to get your art into. 

For example, I helped an artist refine her consultant list, and one industry she really wanted to enter was healthcare. So we looked for “art consultants for healthcare”.

Industry Magazines

You can browse online magazines like Hospitality Design and Boutique Design Magazine. Flip through their pages and look for art consultants mentioned in their articles. 

As a bonus, this is a great way to see what kind and style of art consultants use in their projects.

Social Media

Lots of art consultants are on social media platforms like Instagram and LinkedIn. Once you find one art consultant you like, you can use the platform's features to find similar consultants. 

For example, you can use LinkedIn’s “People Also Viewed” widget, or Instagram’s search to look for #artconsultants or #artconsultants{followed by the industry you want to get into}.
